2008 year model trucks equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters will, depending on application, require a parked driver commanded re-generation.
Trucks used in vocational applications may have crews working outside the truck and not be able to see the dash lamp warning. If the re-generation is not performed within a short time frame, sometimes in as little as 15 minutes, the engine may de-rate and in some cases shut down. In most instances the truck must be towed to an authorized facility for a PC commanded regeneration, at the owners expense.
Towing and down time considered this event could cost anywhere from $500.00 and up.
Don’t let your driver be uninformed. TFB Global’s Regen-Alert Interface Controller will sound an alarm of your choice when the DPF is in need of a parked re-generation.

DPF Re-Generation Alert Systems are now in stock.
