Control Module and Install Harness

Ford F650-750 chassis equipped with Caterpillar C7 Diesel DPF engines were built without the "Parked Re-Generation" feature common to most all other medium duty vocational trucks.  The absence of this system requires the driver to continue to drive above 20 MPH continuously for up to 40 minutes in order to burn off the accumulated soot.  Failure to do so will result in a de-rate and or engine shut down.  
To avoid this costly condition TFB Global now offers a conversion kit to configure the F650-750 consistent with other manufactures driver commanded re-generation modes.  Installation of the kit takes about 1.5 hours not including ECM configuration changes.  The ECM must be re-set by a qualified person using a laptop with CAT software.  This service is available at all CAT certified service facilities.  Our installation instructions include all parameter changes needed for the conversion.
Once the conversion is made, when a DPF parked re-generation event is needed, the driver is notified by the illumination of the DPF lamp.  After parking the truck and setting the park brake the re-gen button is held in for four seconds and released and the re-generation event takes place.
This conversion is compliant with Caterpillars' "ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION GUIDE, Section 30.0 Caterpillar Regeneration System"
